British Railway Travel Poster Print, Carlisle, Cumbria England, Borderland & Lakeland by LMS & LNER

Travel Poster produced for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) and London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail travel to Carlisle in Cumbria. The poster shows a view of the bridge over the River Eden, which was built in 1815 by Robert Smirke (1781-1867). The city itself, with its cathedral and castle, is seen in the background. Artwork by an unknown artist.

This Poster dates to 1925.
