Galloway, The Southern Highlands of Scotland. London, Midland & Scottish Railway Travel Poster

Poster produced for London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail travel to the Southern Highlands of Scotland. This poster shows a landscape view of Galloway. 1927. Artwork by Norman Wilkinson, who studied art at Portsmouth and Southsea Schools of Art. A famous marine painter, he designed posters for several railways and organised the Royal Academy series of posters for the London & Midlands Railway (LMR) in 1924.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
