Travel poster produced for London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) and London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail travel to the Western Highlands in Scotland. The poster shows an illustration of the legendary Scottish folk hero and outlaw Rob Roy (1671-1734). Artwork by Doris Zinkeisen (1898-1991), who studied at the Royal Academy Schools. In addition to designing railway posters, she designed stage sets and costumes for the theatre.
This is truly an outstanding quality print. It is printed on excellent quality Fujifilm photographic paper. It is not a cheap flimsy poster.
