Poster produced in 1935 for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) and London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS), promoting rail travel to Aberdeen in Scotland,  'The Silver City by the Sea'. Described as ‘Splendid beach & one of the most beautiful resorts in Britain’, in the foreground people can be seen enjoying the fine sandy beach and the artist Frank H Mason (1876-1965) has skillfully used the dark imposing Grampian mountains to highlight the incredible architecture of this city.
