Vintage poster produced for British Railways (BR) to promote rail travel to Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales. The poster shows a view of the coast, with houses overlooking the sea and the pier in the far distance. 1949. Artwork by Claude Buckle, who originally trained as an architect, but later turned to pictorial art. He painted in both oil and watercolour and was a prolific poster artist for Great Western Railway (GWR) and BR. Much of his original poster artwork is held at the National Railway Museum. This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster. Please select your size from the drop down menu.
