Southern Railway produced this poster in 1928 to promote “Week-End Tickets all the year round.” to Bexhill-on-Sea. Situated between Eastbourne and Hastings it still today retains much of the charm and style that made it a favourite of the Victorian and Edwardian aristocracy. The artist has chosen a high view point which looks down on the Bexhill Old Town and colourfully captures the New Town beyond. Artist Verney L Danvers.
This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
