Vintage Travel poster produced for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS), promoting express rail travel to the Lancashire seaside resort of Blackpool, showing holiday-makers strolling on the new seafront promenades, with Blackpool Tower and pier in the background. Artwork by Chesley Bonestell (1888-1986). Bonestell later became known as the 'father of space art', creating photorealistic paintings and contributing to the beginnings of the USA space programme in the 1940s and 1950s.This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
