Australian National Travel Association poster promoting Australia as a tourist destination. Stylised design of a boomerang containing Australian images with Aboriginal depictions of various Australian animals in the background which also includes the Southern Cross. c1957. Artist Gert Sellheim, 1901-1970 was born in Estonia and moved to Melbourne in 1930 and quickly became recognised as a talented commercial artist. His most memorable posters were produced for the Australian National Travel Association, which were widely distributed overseas to encourage tourism.
This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
