Product code: S-265

Product information

Travel Poster produced in 1925 for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) and London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail travel to Carlisle in Cumbria. The poster shows a view of the bridge over the River Eden, which was built in 1815 by Robert Smirke (1781-1867). The city itself, with its cathedral and castle, is seen in the background. Artwork by an unknown artist.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
