Travel poster produced for London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail travel to Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. The poster shows a view of the seafront, with the promenade, trees and beach. Artwork by Frank Newbould (1887-1951), who studied at Bradford College of Art and joined the War Office in 1942. He also designed posters for the GWR (Great Western Railway), Orient Line and Belgian Railways.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
