Travel Poster produced for Great Western Railway (GWR) to promote rail travel to Devon, England. The poster shows a view of the beautiful landscape typical of the area, with green-topped cliffs dropping down to a sandy beach and the clear blue sea. Artwork by Leonard Richmond, who studied at the Taunton School of Art and Chelsea Polytechnic, and exhibited widely abroad as well as at the principal London galleries. He wrote several books on painting technique and painted landscapes as well as pictures with figures.
This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
