Poster produced for the London & North Eastern Railway to promote the East Yorkshire coastal resort of Hornsea. It shows two women in bathing costumes sitting above the beach and the silhouette of a dog watching people enjoying the beach. c1930. Artist Gregory Brown (1887-1941), designed posters for London Underground, railway companies and the Empire Marketing Board. He was also a well known landscape painter, illustrator, metal worker and textile designer.
This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
