Product Description
This poster was produced in 1929 for London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote commercial freight services in Hull, Yorkshire. The poster shows an aerial view of the port at Hull which directly served the industrial area of 13,000,000 people at that time. Artwork by Henry George Gawthorn (1879-1941), who started out as an architect but later turned to pictorial art. He wrote several books on poster design and publicity and also produced many posters for LNER. This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster. Please select your size from the drop down menu. Any poster size of 70x100cm or smaller will fit many popular frames that can be purchased in framers and shops such as Ikea.
