Product information

English Travel Poster produced in 1954 for British Railways (BR) to promote rail travel to Knaresborough, in Harrogate, Yorkshire. The poster shows a train crossing the elegant stone viaduct over the River Nidd. It was completed in 1851 and built through the picturesque town to carry a branch of the Leeds & Thirsk Railway. The viaduct was designed to blend with the architecture and character of the town and the castle ruins can be seen in the distance. Artwork by Jack Merriott (1901-1968).
This is truly an outstanding quality print.  It is printed on excellent quality Fujitsu photographic paper.  It is not a cheap flimsy poster.
