Larne Promenade, Co Antrim, Ulster. Vintage Travel poster by Norman Wilkinson

Product code: S-888

Product information

Poster produced around the 1930’s to help promote tourism to Larne in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Larne is known as The Gateway to Ulster and is the first town on the scenic Antrim Coast Road that links the coastal village of Ballygally up to the Nine Glens of Antrim. This poster shows a secluded part of Larne promenade before it reaches the main Coast Road which can be easily missed as it is for pedestrians only. A passenger ferry is steaming its way towards the harbour passing between Islandmagee and Chaine Memorial Tower. Many people can be seen strolling along the promenade whilst others enjoy sailing and swimming close to the popular bathing boxes. Artwork by Norman Wilkinson.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
