This British Railways (Western Region) poster was produced around 1958 promoting Plymouth on the south coast of Devon as a ‘Delightful Centre for Holidays’. The artist Harry Riley has chosen the high viewpoint of Plymouth Hoe which overlooks Tinside Lido and Drake's Island. Various naval, commercial and recreational activity can also be seen on the Plymouth Sound and in the foreground holidaymakers and Royal Naval sailors are enjoying the steep coastal pathways.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
