Rambles in Epping Forest, Essex. Vintage LNER Travel poster by E Harris. 1947

Product code: S-814

Product information

Travel poster produced around 1947 for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail travel to Epping Forest in Essex. This area of woodland is steeped in ancient history and was formerly a royal forest. Queen Victoria declared it as ‘The People’s Forest’ for all time and the artist has painted a path winding through mature trees in full foliage, a haven for ramblers and many other modern day leisure activities. Artwork by E Harris.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
