Redcar, Yorkshire. BR Vintage Travel Poster by Hugh Chevins. 1962

Product code: S-776

Product information

This poster was produced in 1962 by British Railways (BR) to promote rail services to Redcar in Yorkshire. The poster shows many happy families sunbathing, sailing and having fun playing games on the beach. Other fashionably dressed people enjoy strolling along the promenade admiring the delightful costal scenery perhaps with the intention of visiting the Pier Ballroom visable in the distance. Artwork by Hugh Chevins.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
