Scarborough Beach, Yorkshire. LNER Vintage Travel Poster by Arthur C Michael. c1935

Product code: S-443

Product information

Vintage poster produced around 1935 for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) promoting rail travel to the popular seaside resort of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. The promenade in front of Scarborough Spa leads the way for many holiday-makers down to the sandy beach which is shared by its neighbour, ‘The Grand Hotel’ as well as the old North Sea fishing port. Scarborough Castle is also visable on the projecting headland in the distance. Artwork by Arthur C Michael.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
