Travel poster produced in 1934 by London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail travel to the seaside town of Scarborough in Yorkshire. The illustration is of Scarborough Castle is portrayed in bold forms and simple contrasting colours. Artwork by Frank Newbould (1887-1951), who studied at Bradford College of Art and joined the War Office in 1942. He also designed posters for the GWR (Great Western Railway), Orient Line and Belgian Railways.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
