Product code: S-712

Product information

Poster promoting travel to the Mountains of Mourne, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. c1950’s. This particular poster displays an image of a bus fully laden with sightseers travelling along the rugged rural road of Spelga Pass in the Mourne Mountains. Spelga is probably most famous for its reservoir and ‘Spelga Dam’ which is fed by the River Bann. It supplies water to the Portadown & Banbridge areas and nowadays is very popular with anglers. The Ulster Transport Authority operated passenger services by both road and rail and information was available at British Railway Stations, offices and agencies.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
