This travel poster was produced around 1949 to help encourage tourism to New South Wales in Australia and uses the headline ‘We're expecting you’. The Blue Mountains are truely a spectacular sight and are now visited by millions of visitors each year. The artist Joseph Booker (1908–1971), has chosen Echo Point in Katoomba as it offers one of the most expansive southerly views of the Blue Mountains, in particular the Jamison Valley. The large stepped viewing platform is at an elevation of about 3,250 feet and affords unobstructed vistas of the entire area, including the famed Three Sisters rock formation.
This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
