Travel poster produced in 1934 for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote rail services to the Norfolk Broads. ‘It’s Quicker by Rail’. The poster shows a yacht on the Broads sailing at speed. Artwork by Frank Henry Mason (1876-1965), who was educated at HMS Conway and spent time at sea. He painted marine and coastal subjects and was involved in engineering and shipbuilding. He designed posters for several railway companies.
This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
