Poster produced in 1938 for Southern Railway (SR) promoting quick rail travel to Hampshire and the New Forest by the New ‘Bournemouth Limited’. The poster shows a panoramic view of the vibrant countryside with a quote by Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822). Artwork by Leonard Richmond, who studied at the Taunton School of Art and Chelsea Polytechnic and exhibited widely both in London and abroad. He painted landscapes and designed posters for the Great Western Railway (GWR) and Southern Railway (SR).

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
