Product Description
Vintage poster produced for Great Western Railway (GWR) in 1947 to promote rail travel to Torquay, Devon. The poster shows an expansive view of the town's seaside with its inner harbour, promenade and pier. The Pavillion can also be seen in the foreground. Artwork by Leonard Richmond who studied at the Taunton School of Art and Chelsea Polytechnic. He exhibited widely abroad as well as at the principal London galleries and wrote several books on painting techniques.
This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
