Grande semaine de l'aviation. This poster is advertising aviation week in Egypt which was used as a base by the French during the Wadai/Ouaddai war. The Wadai or Ouaddai War occurred from 1909 to 1911 between France and the Ouaddai Kingdom located in what today would be
eastern Chad and central Sudan. The French annexed the kingdom and kept it as part of their empire until 1960.
