Vintage poster produced for the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) to promote the companies services to Munich and other destinations in Central Europe via Harwich. The poster shows a view of the Frauenkirche, with its distinctive oxidised copper domes. Artwork by Ludwig Hohlwein. Hohlwein first studied as an architect, and this is reflected in his superb sense of layout and visual balance. He designed travel posters as well as political posters, including work for the Nazis during the Second World War.
