Product code: 705

Product information

This classic vintage Land Speed poster is one of our set of four and advertises Wakefield Castrol Motor Oil. Born in England in 1885, Captain Malcolm Campbell began a family tradition of holding Land and Water record speeds which his son Donald Campbell carried on. This poster tells us that on the 19th February 1928 he broke the Land Speed record by attaining 206.95mph and shows him in his famous Irving-Napier car named ‘Blue Bird’ racing along Daytona Beach in Florida. Artwork is by NF Humphries.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
