This poster was produced in 1936 for the Southern Railway (SR) to help promote rail services to the coastal resorts of Whitstable and Tankerton in Kent. Lots of people are enjoying the glorious sands and grassy hillsides and many sailing boats are taking advantage of the tranquil water in the late afternoon sunshine. Artwork by Cecil King.
