Railway poster produced for the London Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS), promoting rail travel to the Lake District in Cumbria. It shows a view of Lake Windermere where small yachts are sailing. Text beneath the image describes the area and advertises services operated by LMS steamers on the lake, travelling from Lake Side to Bowness, and to Waterhead Pier, Ambleside. Artwork by Norman Wilkinson (1878- 1971). Printed by McCorquodale & Co Ltd, Glasgow and London.

This is truly an outstanding quality poster. It is printed on Fuji crystal archive photographic paper and is by no means a flimsy poster.
